Our Client is looking for a System Installation Engineer with an understanding of fire detection and fire suppression systems along with previous experience in installation of such systems.
You will need good communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to work unsupervised and to follow basic electrical/mechanical drawings.
You will also have the ability to follow written instruction through method statements and risk assessments and follow verbal instruction from senior engineers.
Knowledge of Gaseous fire suppression systems/ Low pressure High pressure water mist systems / Kitchen fire suppression systems Ansul R-102.
HSSD detection systems.
Previous mechanical and electrical experience on fire suppression system installation.
Fire Industry related training and courses.
Health & Safety related training.
First Aid training.
CSCS card holder or CITB skills card.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mechanical and electrical installation of fire suppression systems throughout the whole of the UK.
Service and maintenance of fire suppression systems
Attend emergency call outs to repair faults or carry out system recharges.
Commission and demonstrate fire suppression systems to end users.
Be responsible for timely completion of system installations.
Work alone or in teams of 2 – 3
Offer technical support to system end users.
Organise, plan and maintain vehicle materials stock, plant and equipment.
The candidate should be comfortable working independently or as part of a team and be able to work flexible hours including night shifts and occasional weekend work.
Working away from home is also required.
Full time permanent contract working 40 – 60 hours per week including some weekends (optional).
Salary dependent on experience £20K – £24K
