Our client based near Rochdale, Greater Manchester has over a hundred years of experience in designing and building water and waste water treatment equipment.
A position has arisen for a Skilled Installation Engineer with good experience of mechanical installation and fitting, to install service and repair primarily Archimedean Screw Pumps and Generators. The successful applicant will work as part of a small outworking team carrying out site work. This will be working on various locations around the UK and occasionally overseas if required.
This is arduous work by nature of the equipment and its location. Working sometimes in close vicinity to raw sewage or flowing rivers in confined spaces, this is a demanding position.
The position requires working away for approx. 90% of the time staying locally to the job for 5 days a week in most cases. Occasionally you would be required to stay for longer until the job is completed or a suitable break point occurs. This may be a period of approx. 3 weeks.
For more local contracts it may be possible to commute.
All transport is provided from the works to the relative site by the means of a Company van.
The role would be ideally suited to a candidate living within a 50/60 mile radius of Glasgow.
Normal working hours are 40 hours per week.
Overtime working will be often required but is not guaranteed
Salary is negotiable depending upon experience + the following expenses:
Accommodation and breakfast paid by the company
Lunch allowance £5.00
Evening allowance from £20.00
